  • Will I have to testify in court for my personal injury case?

Sometimes, people who are considering filing a personal injury lawsuit are worried about having to testify in court. They perceive it as a very stressful and intimidating concept.

Most injury lawsuits settle out of court, meaning that the plaintiff never has to testify in or even enter a courtroom. However, another form of sworn statement, called a deposition, may be required of you.

Giving a deposition involves answering questions, under oath, from attorneys on both sides, with a court reporter recording the conversation.

Our attorneys instruct our clients to tell only the truth at all times, and we prepare them well in advance for all questions the opposing attorney is likely to ask. Most clients find the process to be very straightforward and low-stress.
