GTECH filed its Reply Brief on the Merits in the Fun 5’s scratch-off lottery ticket lawsuit currently pending before the Texas Supreme Court. Now that all the briefs have been filed in Steele et al. v. GTECH, the Supreme Court is likely to take one of two steps. It may either deny GTECH’s Petition for Review and send the case back to the trial court for trial. Alternatively, it may grant the Petition and ask the attorneys to argue the case in front of the nine Justices. There is no way to predict how long it will take for the Court to make its decision but the hope is that we will have a decision in the near future.
